At a final colloquium with the textile artists Lea Cook/USA and Ismini Samanidou/UK, the graduates of the shuttle course of the Linz Art University presented themselves in Haslach in summer 2014 and received their graduation certificates.
The one-year university course in weaving is structured on a part-time modular basis. The aim is to strengthen the interface between machine production and design. The modules take place on the premises of the Textile Center Haslach, north of Linz. The equipment includes industrial Jacquard, terry machine, dobbies, TC1/digitalet prototype Jacquard, Patronic and hand looms.
Artistic directors are Tim Parry-Williams (UK) and Marga Persson (Sweden), supported by Ismini Samanidou (UK) and for the final block Lia Cook (USA). Different lecturers will lecture for individual blocks.
